KARES 5K for KDM5C

Hit the pavement September 30 or October 1 to help KARES raise $75,000 for KDM5C research and family support!

Why KDM5C?

Genetic loss of KDM5C function is associated with a range of symptoms, which can include intellectual disability, global developmental delays, speech impairment, challenging behavior, autism, epilepsy, and more. KDM5C-related symptoms can have devastating effects on patients and their families.

Why run for KARES?

KARES aims to raise both awareness of KDM5C genetic variants and funds to accelerate research around new targeted treatment options to improve the lives of KDM5C patients. Funds from our virtual 5K will go to award KDM5C-related Research Grants and provide assistance to families with the cost of adaptive equipment such as voice output devices, adaptive strollers, and bikes.

How can I help?

Participate, donate, fundraise, or share to help us further KARES’ mission to improve lives through KDM5C Advocacy, Research, Education, & Support. Whatever your contribution, it will make a meaningful difference in the lives of affected children and families.
